Re-thinking Re-Entry: Confronting Perpetual Punishment
The Fortune Society’s former Vice President of Development and Public Affairs, Glenn E. Martin, will be the keynote speaker at this event, which examines the legal and social obstacles that interfere with formerly incarcerated individuals’ successful re-entry and current initiatives to overcome them. Through counter-narratives, this event will also celebrate the lives of those who have overcome these barriers.

Drug Policy Reform is Racial Justice Reform: A One Day Strategy Session in Advance of UN General Assembly Special Session on Drugs
On April 19, the General Assembly will gather to debate the future of global drug policy for the first time since 1998. Join hundreds of national and international leaders at this event to learn, debate, network and strategize about the steps that need to be taken to end the drug war and create racially just policies. Speakers include Erica Garner, the daughter of slain Staten Island resident Eric Garner and Mayor Svante Myrick of Ithaca.
